This week’s playlist has an extra-terrestrial theme and features David Bowie, Ella Fitzgerald, Jonathon Richman, Silvio Rodriguez, Radiohead, Sparks, and The Carpenters. What with everyone getting excited by what is almost certainly not but might be evidence of some kind of alien structure in deep space we thought we would bring you 15 tracks about little green men. It strikes me it’s funny how we always seem to think of aliens in such a manner and seem to have such fixed ideas about how they might look. This weekend marks the 46th anniversary of the Woodstock Music & Arts Festival, that took place just outside the town of Bethel, New York in the middle of the last summer of the 1960’s and has become a beacon for the love and peace generation.
